This free crown pattern fits our Chillbara Capybara perfectly. We used Scheepjes Little Darling. The examples below are in the colours Goldfish 436 and 442 Flamingo.
Materials used:
- Scheepjes Little Darling color of choice
- Crochet hook 4 mm / G-6
- Optionally electrical wire to reinforce the crochet piece
Start by crocheting a chain that fits your capybara or what you think is a good size. The pattern describes the crown as on the photos above.
Step 1
Chain 58 and crochet back in the chain with 1 sc in all of the chain. For the crown in Goldfish color we added a electrical wire (size of the chain) to give the crown more strength. If you don't want to do that then your result will be as the pink crown (Flamingo color). See the video on how to crochet a wire in your piece.
Step 2
Close your chain into a circle and crochet 3 rounds of 1 sc in all of the stitches. Adjust the height by adding more rounds.
Step 3
Crochet 4 dc's in the 4th stitch from your hook. Chain 2. Crochet another 4 dc's in your 4th stitch (same as the first 4 double crochets). Single crochet in the 4th stitch from the ones you crocheted the dc's in and repeat the proces until your round is finished.
